We have created “Koinobori”, a necklace jewel inspired by an old japanese tradition in which carp-shaped windsocks flow in the air during Children’s day (Kodomo no Hi).

In this new jewelry work we push the limits of design and technology through a new object to test Austrian based Lithoz’s new and unique ceramic technology, that enable 3D printing extremely defined ceramics creations. We are amazed by the detail and the thinness of the Koinobori, that can be achieved only through Lithoz’s technology and material.

For us it’s a great opportunity to work with this advanced technology with stunning ceramics material properties, opening us to new incredible applications in many fields.
Thanks to Lithoz’s team for their support and collaboration!

We presented “Koinobori” at Milan Design Week 2014 between our exhibited works at “Synthesis”.
